Toilet Tissue Cover

4 ply worsted weight yarn, in red, white and blue, 3 1/2 ozs., 6 inches white felt.
Crochet hook size I-9.
Measurements: 5 inches diameter x 4 1/2 inches deep.
Gauge: first 2 rounds = 2 1/2 inches diameter.
Note: Always start with ch 3 instead of first dc of rnd. and end with 1 sl st in first sc or third (dc) ch at beg of rnd..
Cover: Starting at top with Blue, ch 1 + 3 (first dc).
Rnd. 1: (right side): 11 dc in 4th ch from hook (12dc).
Rnd 2: 2 dc in each dc around (24dc).
Rnd.3: *dc in dc, 2 dc in next dc *rep from * to * around (36 dc).
Rnd.4: *dc in each of next 2 dc, 2 dc in next dc* rep from * to * around (48 dc). Fasten off blue.
Rnd.5: With right side facing, join red in first dc, working in blps only, dc in blp of each dc around. Fasten off red.
Rnd.6: With right side facing, join white in first dc, dc in each dc around. Fasten off white.
Rnd.7: With right side facing, join red in first dc, working in blps only, dc in blp of each dc around. Fasten off red.
Rnds. 8 - 11: Rep rnds 6 - 7 twice.
Rnds.12: With right side facing, join blue in first dc, working in flps only * dc in flp in each of next 3 dc, 2 dc in flp of next dc*, rep from * to * around (60 dc).
Rnd13: Working in flps only, *dc in flp of each of next 4 dc, 2 dc in flp of next dc*, rep from * to * around (72 dc). Fasten off.
Finishing: Cut out 6 stars from white felt and glue in top of cover in a circle. Put on toilet tissue and fold Rnd 12 to make a brim of the hat.
